Your plant will arrive with the appropriate amount of fertiliser for a 3 month period. If you purchase your plant in Spring or Summer, you might want to lightly feed it as it grows. We grow all of the plants at our specialist plant nursery in the Byron Hinterland. Depending on the plant, we will grow it from our own cuttings, tissue culture or seedlings. All of our plants are grown in greenhouses or shadehouses, and they are monitored regularly for quality.
We typically grow 3 sizes of plant – small, medium and large. Our small is a 140mm pot (which is often much larger than other online plants), medium is 175mm and large is 200mm. Whilst these sound like small changes in pot diameter, the volume of soil in pot increases from 1.5 litres, to 2.8 litres to 4.5 litres. This allows for much larger root systems and larger plants in general. The weight does increase too from around 800g to 1.4kg to 2.8kg, depending on the plant and moisture levels.
Yes it will, however, keep in mind that, despite our awesome packaging system, shipping is not the easiest on the plants. When they arrive at your door they might look a bit sad, but should perk up once placed in their ideal growing conditions. We package our plants securely in their soil to minimise too much wilting.

PAYMENTS AND ORDERS
You can buy the best online plants in Australia with Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, and AfterPay. We currently don't accept AMEX.
As many as you like! Keep in mind that shipping does go up with added weight.
We ship on a Monday and Tuesday so that, in most places, the plant will arrive within the same week it is posted. For this reason, orders close off at Sunday 1pm for the week ahead, with any orders made after to be dispatched the following week.
We are happy for you to add to an existing order up to 8pm Saturday. Anything ordered after that will have to be ordered separately and shipped in the following week's cycle.
We are blessed here in the Byron Hinterland with great shipping networks up and down the East Coast of Australia and to South Australia, We use Australia Post as our primary courier as they have the best delivery network. We ship to all non-quarantined states.
Shipping is based on the size and weight of the cart at checkout and the location the order is being shipped to. The options are available at checkout starting at $15 for small pots, $20 for medium, and $25 for large pots. We choose not to charge a mark-up on shipping to give you more value for money.
No, we only ship potted plants. We do this to diminish the chance of shock which results in healthier plants in the long run. It also means that if orders are delayed in the mail they are sitting in their soil and will not die. Instead, thanks to the careful packaging and the plant being at a healthy age, they become partially dormant until they arrive at your door.
We use Australia Post are our primary courier as they have the widest delivery network.
We’ve all seen the shipping dramas on Facebook where some poor plant has been thoroughly thrown around and not secured in the box. We have developed our own boxes made to measure exactly the plant you have bought to keep it tight in the box with headroom above the foliage. Though we are at the mercy of the courier company, we have put every measure in place that we can to ensure a safe trip for the plants.
We ship all of our plants in the nursery pot with potting mix. While this does mean slightly higher shipping costs, it also means less disturbance and shock for the plant on arrival.
Unfortunately we don't ship to PO Boxes at this time.
Our awesome packaging will keep your plants safe from the elements, so we don't require you to be there for the delivery. If, however, you know that your packages are normally left in an area that gets scalding hot, super cold or windy, or in an otherwise unsafe area, it’s best if you plan to be home at the time of delivery. Plants left on doorsteps for prolonged periods or returned to the post office for more than a few days can impact the freshness of the plant when you take it from its packaging. For the health of your plant, it's best to ensure your plant spends as little time in the packaging as possible.
We put specific measures in place such as secure plant boxing and shipping schedules to ensure this doesn’t happen. Because we ship our plants in potting mix they are less likely to dry out in the case of any shipping delays.
RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS
You can absolutely cancel your order as long as you let us know by the Friday of the week you ordered it. Our plants are shipped Mondays and Tuesdays so any orders that are still in place over the weekend are already in our shipping process and unfortunately can't be canceled.
We do not accept returns, but if there is an issue with your plant we will work with you to find a solution. You can see more details about our Refund Policy here.
If you experience an issue with your plant, please contact us immediately via email us at email@example.com. Take a picture of the plant as soon as you can so we can see for ourselves the condition of the plant on arrival. Our plants almost always arrive fresh and healthy thanks to our awesome packaging system, but if there are any issues we will do our utmost to resolve the situation positively.

Here at Florafolia we grow most of our plants in 3 sizes – small (140mm), medium (175mm) and large (200mm). A small change in pot diameter leads to an exponential increase in pot volume – this means more potting mix, more fertiliser, more room for the plant to grow, a bigger plant and therefore more plant weight. Our small is often larger than others large pot size.
