Propagating your ... Peperomia!!!
There are over 1000 species of plants in the Peperomia family Piperaceae, ranging from large through to quite small. Mostly seen as an inside plant, here’s a spectacular Peperomia growing outside in Winter in a planter box in Northern NSW!
They’re easy to propagate too - pick off a mature leaf and put in a narrow neck bottle of water - le voila! In a month or two you should have long roots and the start of a new plant emerging. Pro tip - some popular Peperomias are protected by PBR or Plant Breeding Rights - the Watermelon Peperomia is one of these. This means you can only propagate it for your own personal use and are not able to sell it.
